Our story

In 2012, the experienced product designer Barbro Berlin (IKEA, Klong, Nordiska Galleriet, Boda Nova) looked for white spaces for functional and creative design. She noticed that a lot of beautiful homes had overcrowded, cluttered and poorly functional hallways. A user study confirmed her feeling: most families felt that their hallway was too small and that it was hard to find a furnishing that meet both their aesthetical as well as their functional demands.

Based on the studies, Barbro started to work on a concept with a soft and inviting signature design that combined aesthetics with maximun functionality, using high-end materials and surface treatments.

She teamed up with Ulf Berlin, expert in branding, and Martin Stener, marketeer with operational experience as CEO and sales manager from different industries. The team developed the products in collaboration with renowned design manufacturers in Småland and Stockholm.

Crafted in Sweden

The products are produced by some of Swedens best design manufacturers in combination with local craftsmen: steel work by Delex and BS Rörbockning, lacquering by Leba, leather work by Engströms, carpentry by Pondus Snickeri and Konsthantverk has provided the lamp-holders.
